Two New Singles from Lab Group Showcase the Collective Energy of Collaboration

“The entire is larger than the sum of its elements.” That mantra is paramount to Lab Group, the virtuosic bass music outfit based by PotionsSupertask and the late CharlestheFirst.

Becoming a member of forces with tiedye ky and Participant Dave, they’ve launched a pair of recent singles, a real testomony to the ability of collaboration, friendship and inventive exploration. The brand new songs mark Lab Group’s first unique music since 2021’s debut EP, Lab Group I.

“Zoom In” is a wonky banger that rattles the mind with spacey left-field sounds and all-encompassing bass. Deep but vigorous, the monitor yields a dirty listening expertise earlier than it winds all the way down to a mellow coda, the place a touching vocal pattern and comfortable chimes deliver the association house.

“Dipping” takes a softer strategy, showcasing Lab Group’s versatility. The ethereal monitor options vocals from designer and artist Ruku, whose haunting lyricism floats atop a languid beat.

The emotion right here is palpable, lending to a passionate and goosebump-inducing hear.

Based on Lab Group’s website, a brand-new album, Lab Group 2, is within the works. They’ve not too long ago performed units at Sound Haven and Secret Desires, amongst others, and are gearing up for performances at Rezz Rocks, North Coast Music Competition and Suwannee Hulaween.
